Christmas card

Hello everyone... Surprise!  Hope everyone had a nice holiday.  I know i did, but i'm glad it's over.  I did manage with all the holiday crazyness to make my Christmas cards.  I made 25 this year... alot less than i used to!  I used to make about 75 cards each year.  But i was finding it stressful and more of a chore.  Now i enjoy making my cards.  For this card i used a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and a Memory Box stamp. I dotted all the snowdots with a white poster paint pen. I pop dotted the blue panel and added some bling to the "let it snow".
Here is my 2011 Christmas card.

My next card here is a birthday card using a Fred Mullet stamp called Spider Mum.  I love Fred Mullet stamps.  You can't tell in the photo but the pink cardstock is shimmery and the stamp has pink glitter on it.  The butterfly is a Lost and Found brand button. I like butterflies!
Here is the birthday card i made for my Boss.

Wedding Bliss

Hello everyone...  I know i haven't been around lately.  I've been preoccupied.  My son just got married last weekend!  I'm very happy for him and his new wife!  Since the wedding i've had this smile on my face.  It's a nice feeling!  Now that it is done i can get back into playing with all my inks and stamps and such.  I've been thinking about sending something in for Stampotique Originals tag challenge this week.  We'll see...  What i'd like to get back into is my journal.  I haven't done anything in that for quite a while.  I guess it's time to take time for me!  So next time you hear from me i should have something i've made to share.  till then... thanks for listening.

Christmas Cheetah

Hi again... here is my second entry into the Less is More week 34.  I'm not sure it quite counts 'cause even though they are in opposite corners, there's not much distance between them.  Anyway this is my Christmas Cheetah stamped in black and i used a red colored pencil to color in the hat.  Merry Christmas is stamped in red.  Hope you like my silly Christmas card.  If not i hope it at least made you smile.  Have a great day!  Here is where you can check out the Less is More site to see more.http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/

Black and White with a hint of color

Hello... here is my entry to the http://stampotiquedesignerschallenge.blogspot.com/2011/09/sdc38-black-white-and-hint-of-color.html  I used the Harvest Moon stamp in black ink, masked the moon and then sponged with a hint of stormy sky ink.  I layerd this onto black cardstock, and pop-dotted onto the swirl panel. The embossed swirl panel is a cuttle bug embossing folder.  I made sure to stamp Winter before embossing.  DTP with black ink on edges of swirl panel. layered onto white card.  You can't tell but I used glitter for snow on the small panel. Thanks for looking.

Stamps i used:
Harvest Moon - Memory Box
Winter - Hero Arts

Prom Queen

Hello... Today i have a neat card i made using Stampotique stamps.  I can't get enough of them.  I made this card for a friend of mine. (She likes Stampotique too!)  The girl is called Prom Queen.  The star is from Craft-Stamper Magazine and designed by Jo Capper-Sandon.  I used copics to color the girl.  Walnut distress ink was used on the edges.  The red pearls, ribbon and button are from my stash.  I had fun making this card. Now i have to start thinking of a card for "Less is more".  That's always a fun challenge.  Hopefully i'll have something up within the next day or two.  Thanks for looking... Have a great day.

Marci

Well i said i would have something different for today.  So here it is!  It's Marci (i love her) from stampotique.  Words, bike and strip of distress writing is from Tim Holtz. The background is mustard seed distress stain and then two different stamps from cover-a-card.  The flowers are a couple of dies i used with yellow mini brads in the center.  To me Marci is like a rag doll.  Sometimes i feel like a rag doll myself.  This page is to remind me that even if i'm having a down, rag doll kind of day, i still need to remember to try to enjoy the journey.  There are good things out there too.  I just have to look for them.  Are there others of you out there who have the same feelings...  What do you do to keep your spirits up?  My visual journal has helped me alot... Easier than trying to think of what to say.  And i must say, i do enjoy going back over all the pages i have done.  Well there you go, something different and a part of me, shared.  Until next time, i hope you all have a wonderful day.

Red, Yellow, Orange

Hello everyone... The last challenge was really fun.  This time it's the (Stampotique Designs) SDC 35 Red, Yellow, Orange.  I hope this counts but not sure. With my green dress and hero arts wording, probably not.  I thought the green dress went nice and i didn't have any Stampotique wording.  Gotta work on getting more Stampotique Stamps.  The background is done with red, orange and yellow alcohol inks on glossy cardstock.  Heres where to check it out:  http://stampotiquedesignerschallenge.blogspot.com/
Thanks for looking...

LIM CAS Buttons & Ribbon

Hello again... today i was inspired by the Less is More  http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/ challenge of "buttons and ribbons".  I knew exactly what i was going to do!  I made the ribbon is look like the road.  I like red and black together, so i used a Tim Holtz stamp in black and used red buttons that fit perfectly in the wheels.  The wording is a Hero Arts Stamp, stamped in red ink.  Thanks for looking...

Crafty Individuals July 2011 Challenge

Well here is my entry for the Crafty Individuals Pink, Brown, and Cream challenge for July.  I do like these colors.  I think the lace goes nice with it cause it's sort of a vintage card.  The background paper is TimHoltz and the wording is "Life's Simple Pleasures" (one of my favorites). Thank you for visiting...

ooops!

Here is a picture of the bird right side up.  Little easier to look at now.  sorry about that...

Hello Everybody...
Thought I'd share a tag that i did (i really like making tags, 6 1/4 X 3 1/8 is the size i use)...  I used a Hero Arts houses stamp in pink and used the line from the John Mellencamp song "Little Pink Houses".  Tearing around the edge makes it look like you are peeking into another world.  Somtimes i think it would be nice to escape this world.
The second one is a paper doll Bird.  I have this fascination with paper dolls, plus i like birds, too.  So it was perfect for me!  The feet are so high because i wanted to make it look like he was sitting on the cage and his tail feathers were fluffed around the top of the cage.
Hope you like... thanks for stopping by.

Hello everyone... Here is a fishie card i made recently for my sister.  She got new goldfish, and i happen to have this new goldfish stamp.  She was surprised and happy.  Sometimes i like to do that, just surprise someone out of the blue, just because.  It makes you feel good to see them smile.  Right now i'm waiting to receive some stampotique stamps that i ordered.  I love their stamps!  i even have a journal page waiting for the stamps.  Guess i'm a little anxious.  :)  I willl definately show the page when it is done.
