Butterflies

Hello everyone...

On the menu today is Butterflies ( well, not really menu but you know what i mean).  The butterflies are embossed in pink and then clear bling down the centers of them.  They needed the bling!  The card base is actually gray even though it looks like it has a tint of blue in it.  The background stamp is an SU stamp, stamped in gray.  I made this for my neice's 18th birthday.  I hope she liked it.

Next time i blog, i have something different to share.  But it has to wait.  I think you might be surprised.

Thanks for dropping by, do come again.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.  I love to hear from you...    See you next time.

Birthday, Fish & Leaves

Hello again.  Here are two cards i made yesterday.  I was blog hopping and found a couple of cards that really struck me and i wanted to make them right away.  So i cased them from somewhere, just don't know from whom.  Sorry...

The fish is embossed so he doesn't get hidden behind the paint.  Learned the hard way.  The blue paint is twinkling H2O's.

The other card is the same three stamps all over.  On the left side i used an SU punch that is no longer available.  So there you go... couple of easy peasy cards.

Thanks for stopping by.  Also, leave me a comment, I'd love to hear what you think.  Have a great day!!

Vacation and Dogs

Hello...  I said before that I would have a picture of my vacation.  Here it is, this is the view from out my balcony.  And we did see some dolphins from here one day.  Always cool to see dolphins.  No laying on the sand for us... we body surfed those waves the whole time we were at the beach.  It was so nice! I love the warm water.  So different from when I grew up swimming in the New Hampshire rivers.  Your body turns red it is so cold.  But some how you get used to it.

I also wanted to show you a couple of Dog things i made, one a card and one a tag.  The dogs are photo stamps.  I love how they come out.  They are from a company called The Stampsmith.  I have a whole plate of dogs.

Well that's it for today... Have a wonderful day.

Drawing Face

Hello all... It's been a while since i showed one of my drawings, but here it is.  I wish it had come out a little better when i scanned it.  She really does have a nose and chin.  I think i am slowly getting the hang of drawing faces.  I like how she came out.  I used my TH markers to color her with.  And actually this is the first one i gave a neck and shoulders to.  It does make a difference... just a head looks kinda like a balloon in mid air.  Like i said i'm slowly learning.  Well i hope you like... let me know what you think and thanks for any comments.

Seahorse

Hi all... I'm in a beachy mood.  I can't wait for my vacation.  I'll be going to Virginia Beach, soon, but not soon enough.  We'll see if i come back with any pictures or if i just loaf all day on the beach!  Anyway here is my seahorse card i made for a friend.  I made the blue background same way i did on my last card posting.  I have to say i was having fun and did a bunch of these backgrounds.  The seahorse is from Impression Obsession.  I'm not sure where the starfish is from because it is an unmounted one that i have.  Well i hope everyone had a great Fourth of July with fireworks and all.  We won't be having any fireworks until Sunday when my town has a whole big weekend celebration.  We always have fun!  Enjoy your day and let me know what you think...

Summer Fish Birthday

Hi everyone!  It's been a looong time...  But i have something to share.  Here is a card i made for my God-Son.  I made the background of bubbles with my cuttlebug.  But then for the background for the fish and words i used the new spring and summer Tim Holtz inks.  I squished the colors on my mat, sprayed with water, and ran my cardstock through it.  I love the effect!  When it was dry i spattered more water on the cardstock to give it a little more speckley look.  For the inside i had it say "That's fish talk for Happy Birthday."  Hope you like... Have a great weekend!

You can't skip...

Hello bloggers...  The other day i was playing around with my Dylusions Ink sprays.  It was a lot of fun and i love the colors!  I also used the Dylusions stamps for the mushrooms, leaves and words.  Of course i had to add my Marci stamp from Stampotique too!  Well there you go... let me know what you think.
Have a wonderful day!

Marci - Stampotique

Hi everyone... This is a card i made for my Daughter-in-law.  I love the Marci from Stampotique stamps.  She such a rag doll.  I used some textured blue cardstock, cream lace and Tim Holtz dots from his mixed media stamps on some light brown cs.  Marci was colored with copic markers.  For those of you wondering what i used to color the face, i used R01 pinkish vanilla.  Hope you like.  Have a wonderful day!

Birthday Birds

Hello Bloggers.  Today I want to share with you my Birthday Birds.  These birds are from Dark Room Door.  They were stamped in black and then colored with copic markers.  After that I distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink.  Tiny black brads are used for the eyes.  I have heaps of these tiny brads 'cause they are so hard to find.  On the green panel I stamped one of Tim Holtz's new stamps called Mixed Media.
I love birds... I used to have a parakeet named Que.  He was fun, he used to walk up my legs, preen my hair and sit on my shoulder.  Some days I really miss him.
Well i hope you enjoy my card today.  Have a wonderful day!

Purple Eiffel Tower

Hello... Hope everything is well with everyone today.  The card above is my monochromatic Eiffel Tower.  I was in a purple mood.  The Eiffel Tower is a Darkroom Door stamp that I stamped in Dusty Concord ink on a cream panel.  It was paper distressed and then also distressed in Vintage Photo ink.  I then put it on a dk brown panel and tied with a ribbon.  The bottom layer is a Cuttlebug fleur de lis embossed panel of coredinations cardstock that was then sanded.  This was layered onto a dk brown panel to a cream card.  The edge of the card was distressed with Vintage Photo ink and the top layer was pop dotted.  There is a spray of gold Radient Rain on the Eiffel Tower but you can't see that very well.  But it does make it sparkle nice.
Well enjoy your day, and leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  It's always nice to get feedback.

Cranes - LIM using scraps

Hi everyone... above is link to the Less is More challenge of using your scraps.  This is my second entry.  Guess I have lots of scraps.  Hmmm don't we all?  The bird stamp is an Inkadinkado stamp that I already had stamped on this white scrap. I layered it onto another purple scrap.  Then i found this blueish/purple scrap that was already embossed and fit perfectly.  Let me know what you think and have a great day!

Birds - LIM using scraps

Hello... Above is the link to the "Less is More" challenge.  This week it's using your scraps.  My scraps are the "grass" that the birds are standing on.  The birds are from my new Dylusions stamps by Dyan Reaveley.  Dylusions are one of my favorite companies.  I colored them with the new Tim Holtz Distress markers.  The great thing about these markers is you can color a large stamp with multiple markers.  Then you "HUFF" on it and it comes out beautiful, not all dried out like with other markers.  I have to say the picture of the card did not come out as well as I had hoped.  It's a lot darker in person.  Well that's it for today... let me know what you think.  XX

Butterfly card

Hello all.  Today i have a butterfly card.  I do like the way this one came out though i have to say there is not much stamping involved.  The top layer is K&Company 3D butterflies, put on a cream panel stamped with Stampin' up French Script, put on a black panel. The bottom layer is TH Kraft Resist butterfly panel on a black panel on a white card.  Ribbon and gems are from my stash.  Let me know what you think.  Have a great day.

valentine card

Hello... today, since it getting close to Valentine's Day I figured I better get my card done.  So here it is my valentine card to my husband.  The stamp is from memory box,  i love their stamps.  I stamped the adore stamp in black and then colored in the flowers with copic markers.  Then I pop dotted this onto the heart panel which is a cuttlebug embossing folder.  Well this is all for now...  enjoy your day.

Birthday Truck

Hello again everyone.  Today i am sharing with you a card i made for a guy friend.  I find, as i am sure you do too, that guy cards are not always easy to think up.  The truck stamp is one of Wendy Vecchi's Stampers Anonymous stamps.  The words are Hero Arts.  My background is made using various distress inks in brown, green, blue, red, orange and yellow.  Then i splattered it with water to give it an even more distressed look. I stamped the truck and words in distress Gathered Twigs ink.  To give some dimension to the card i added black buttons with string through the holes to the wheels.  The truck looked like it was floating in the air till i added the ribbon to look like a
road.   Then it was all put on on a dark brown card.  Hope you enjoy my card.  Let me know what you think.

Flower by Magenta

My card for today is a Magenta flower.  This is a sympathy card I made for a friend of mine who lost his father.  I stamped it in black and went around the edges with blue distress ink.  It's layered onto a white panel that I went down the sides with a push pin and the Tim Holtz ruler.  His ruler makes it so easy to do this.  Finally it's all put on a blue lined card with a black and white ribbon in between.  Let me know what you think.  Have a great day!

Birthday cards

Hello...
Today i have two cards to show. One is a dragon for my husband. The other is a fish one for my uncle.

For the dragon card i heat embossed the dragons and then went over it with fire brick red distress stain. Then i mounted it onto a gold panel. It was then foam mounted onto a red panel stamped with a cherry blossom stamp. And finally mounted onto a black card with ribbon and happy birthday.

The fish card is a Memory Box wave stamp that i heat embossed in white. Twinkling H2O's were used to paint it in shades of blue. Then mounted onto a blue panel to a white card.  Lastly i stamped and cut out the fish and added them to the card.

Hope you enjoy my cards.  Till next time...

Drawing - Face

Hello... Today i have a drawing to share with everyone.  This is the second one i have ever made.  I colored it with watercolor paints (the hair) and copic markers. This one is very different from the last one i did.  I think it's all in the eyes... and they are the hardest to do.  When i first started drawing the faces, it was an experiment.  What i found, was that i really like doing the drawings. So anyway here it is.  Thanks for looking.
